Incorporating unusual subject matter into his still life photography John Rankine has created a body of work that captures the viewer. Toys and dolls are loved by all children then overnight it seems they loose they’re magic. In that moment as a child grows up the doll or toy gets discarded. An object that brought great joy and security is no longer needed. John’s work compliments and honors all items, memories or people that are often forgotten.
